In the food industries there is a real risk of cross-contamination by various allergens present in production.

To protect consumers and ensure accurate and regulatory compliant labelling, it is necessary to implement a monitoring program for the presence of allergens, as well as adequately design the production and cleaning processes involved.

Kairosafe has selected a range of tests for the detection of food allergens and meat speciation on surfaces or in solid/liquid matrices.

The tests are of two types:

  • ELISA test: quantitative determination of allergens, reading via ELISA reader.
  • Enzyme immunoassays, lateral flow: qualitative determination of allergens, results in a few minutes, visual reading.
