Powdered media are supplied in the following packaging:

Powdered microbiological media are mixtures of dehydrated nutrients such as agar, peptones, carbohydrates, salts, growth factors, and selective/differential agents (e.g., various antibiotics). They are reconstituted with sterile water to produce solid or liquid culture media. These media are then used for the growth, isolation, and identification of bacteria and other microorganisms.
