Ready-to-use media for environmental sampling
Media already prepared and ready to use for microbiological analyzes in cleaning validation.
Media are dispensed into contact or sedimentation plates or slides to sample surfaces.
The formulations follow regulations such as the EP and USP pharmacopoeias, the UNI EN ISO, BAM, APHA standards and many other regulations specific to the type of analysis or microorganism researched.
The media are accompanied by technical documentation which includes:

Contact plates
Contact plates are plates containing specific culture media for the microbiological control of surfaces, coats or hands.
Sampling is performed by applying the meniscus of the agar medium to the surface, which protrudes from the edge of the plate. Contact with the surface should be approximately 10 seconds.
The contact plates can be filled with a smaller quantity of soil which therefore does not form the meniscus and which makes these plates suitable for use with air samplers.
After sampling, the plates are incubated at the necessary temperature and for the necessary time.
Sedimentation plates
They are 90 mm Petri dishes containing 25 or 30 ml of agar medium. They are used to monitor the air in critical areas or clean rooms and are used by exposing them in the environment in certain positions and for the appropriate time, according to a validated protocol.
After sampling, the plates are incubated at the necessary temperature and for the necessary time.
The slides
They are plastic pallets with growing medium on both sides.
The slide can be used to analyze liquids, therefore by immersion, or to analyze surfaces, therefore by contact.
