Pro-check test

Pro-Check is a rapid swab test used to verify the effectiveness of cleaning procedures for surfaces and equipment. It is a very useful test for performing cleaning screening in agro-food and environmental analyses.

The test allows you to detect the presence of proteins in a few seconds, giving an indication of the degree of cleanliness.

Very simple to use, it does not require any laboratory equipment.

Principle of operation

The Pro-Check detects protein residues which, when sampled with the swab, react with a color indicator. This interaction induces a decrease in pH which causes a rapid color change from yellow to green.

According to the intensity of the color change (yellow ► light green ► green ► dark green) it is possible to estimate the level of contamination.

The operator evaluates whether it is necessary to initiate corrective action based on the level of contamination detected, according to the levels normally observed and recorded.

Pro-Check

The Pro-Check is ready to use and consists of swabs pre-moistened with the reagent. Each swab has two heads and allows you to perform 2 tests.

After opening the single sachet, both indicators should be used within approximately 1 hour.

The swabs should be used to sample the surface under examination and the color change should be observed immediately.

In case of high protein presence the color change will be visible after only a few seconds, otherwise the time can extend up to 1-2 minutes.

The yellow result indicates “clean” and protein contamination of less than 20 μg.

Pro-Check Sensi Plus

The Pro-Check Sensi Plus is ready to use and consists of swabs and tubes containing the reagent.

The single swab must be used to sample the surface under examination and then inserted into the test tube containing the reagent. The color change should be observed immediately.

In case of high protein presence the color change will be visible after only a few seconds, otherwise the time can extend up to 1-2 minutes.

The yellow result indicates “clean” and protein contamination of less than 2 μg.
