MicroSwab Qualitative strains

Freeze-dried microorganisms in pellet form. The pellet is located at the bottom of a tube with a reservoir cap to which a cotton swab (swab) is applied. The rehydrating liquid is contained in the reservoir cap and can be used to dissolve the pellets directly in the test tube. Alternatively, the pellet can be extracted and dissolved in a culture buffer or broth.

The population of qualitative strains is very high even if not quantified (in any case > 1000 CFU).

Two types:

  • MicroSwabs: 3 steps from the original collection. Ideal for fertility control, antibiogram etc.
  • MicroSwabs Plus: 2 steps from the original collection. Ideal for stock libraries, but also suitable for other uses.
