Kit for microorganism preservation Protect Multipurpose

Protect Multi-Purpose is a system designed for the cryopreservation of bacteria, yeasts, and fungi in freezers at −20°C, −70°C, −80°C, or in liquid nitrogen.

COMPOSITION

Protect Multi-Purpose consists of cryogenic vials containing:

colored porous ceramic beads, on whose surface microorganisms readily adhere
a nutrient solution with glycerol, which prevents cell damage caused by low temperatures

Gamma irradiation sterilization ensures a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶.

COLORS

The vials have caps matching the color of the beads. The color is used to encode the vial contents within the strain collection:

green
light blue
white
yellow
red

Low-temperature preservation of microorganisms on beads

Protect Multi-Purpose is a microorganism cryopreservation kit that allows the preservation of even the most fastidious strains, ensuring reproducible and consistent results.

The specially developed cryoprotective solution prevents freezing damage and nourishes the cells in suspension.

The color-coding system that characterizes both the caps and the beads, together with the combination of customized accessories, simplifies procedures and provides a reliable method for the long-term preservation of a wide range of standard and fastidious microorganisms.

Use is simple. A dense loopful of the pure strain is introduced into the vial, which is then mixed. The liquid is aspirated and discarded, and the vial is frozen.
