Procedure for the MBS Easy Test

The sample can be solid, liquid or the appropriate swab used to sample a surface. It is inserted directly into the analysis vial, which has been previously prepared by mixing sterile water with the lyophilic reagent. The vial is placed in an incubator at the temperature indicated on the product sheet.

The operator will have to read the result only once, programming it to correspond to the incubation time that corresponds to the CFU threshold of interest.

The tests are simple to use and are ultimately eliminated as normal waste because they are neutralized with chlorine present in the cap.

Incubation

The MBS Easy test needs to be incubated at the temperature indicated on the technical data sheet. Incubation is carried out in a microbiology incubator.

The reading of the test is visual and can be performed by the operator, it involves observing the color change.

The reading of the MBS Easy test can be automated with the use of a thermostat optical reader, MBS MULTIREADER, which automatically detects the change in color of the analysis vials and calculates the microbial concentration of the sample.

MBS MULTIREADER

It is an optical reader and incubator with 8 wells, specially developed for reading the MBS Easy Test. The device is equipped with 8 independent stations which allow multiple tests to be carried out simultaneously.

The results are always available and consultable within a database and at the end of the analysis it is possible to obtain a test report, which can be customized with the information entered by the operator. In the Report generated by the MBS-MR device, in addition to the color change time, the microbial concentration present in the analyzed sample and all the test execution conditions are reported.
