Non sterile filter membranes
MS® NON-STERILE Membrane Filters (Nylon, PTFE, PES, MCE, PVDF, PP and CA)
- For non-sterile filtration of liquids and gases.
- The membranes are supplied with a batch-specific analysis certificate
MS® Nylon filter membrane
- Naturally hydrophilic material, suitable for aqueous solutions and most organic solvents
- Flexible, resistant and autoclavable at 135° C
MS® PTFE Membrane Filter
Microporous membrane ideal for:
- Biochemistry
- Microelectronics
- Materials laboratories
- Filtration of gases and liquids.
MS® PES Membrane Filter
- Highly asymmetric pore structure for high particulate retention
- High filtration performance to provide higher flow rates
MS® MCE filter membrane
- Smooth and more uniform surface than that of nitrocellulose alone
- The color contrast provided by the filter surface facilitates particle detection and minimizes eye strain
- They can be white or black, simple or reticulate.
MS® PVDF Membrane Filter
Reinforced hydrophobic PVDF ensures smooth passage of moist air and other gases, even when the differential pressure is very low.
It holds opposite capabilities to the hydrophilic PVDF membrane.
MS® PP filter membrane
Composed of pure polypropylene with absolute pore size values, offering broad chemical compatibility. The PP filter has extremely low extractable levels, to provide accurate and consistent results in chromatography applications.
MS® CA filter membrane
Composed of pure cellulose acetate modified to offer minimal protein absorption.
The diameter of the membrane can be 13, 25, 47, 50, 90, 142 or 293 mm.
The typical pore size of membranes used for microfiltration is approximately 0.1 - 0.22 - 0.45 - 0.8 - 1 µm.
