Test SwabSure

TEST PROCEDURE

Swipe the surface with the appropriate pre-moistened swab, following a standard procedure and a sterile delimiter. Insert the swab into the tube with broth and break it at the breaking point. Incubate the test tube under the conditions foreseen for the test and at the end observe whether the color change indicating growth has occurred.

SwabSure Coliform

Incubation at 36±1°C for 18-24 hours. The color change from yellow to turquoise indicates Escherichia coli, the color change to pink/mauve indicates Coliforms and the color change to dark blue/purple indicates that both are present. The medium formulation inhibits other background microorganisms such as Staphylococci, Bacillus sp., Enterococcus sp., Micrococcus spp. and confirmation of E. coli is possible by placing 2-3 drops of Kovacs or Ehrlich reagent in the test tube.

SwabSure Listeria P

Incubation at 36±1°C for 24-48 hours. The change from yellow to turquoise indicates Listeria monocytogenes or Listeria ivanovii. It is a very specific test developed to detect only pathogenic Listeria.

SwabSure Listeria

Incubation at 25±1°C for 24-48 hours. The change from yellow to black indicates Listeria sp.. The medium formulation inhibits other background microorganisms such as Bacillus sp., Enterococcus sp., Micrococcus sp, and Gram negative organisms such as Klebsiella sp. and Escherichia coli.

SwabSure Salmonella

Incubation at 36±1°C for 18-24 hours. The purple to black color change indicates Salmonella sp. The medium formulation inhibits other background microorganisms such as Bacillus sp., Enterococcus sp., Micrococcus sp and Gram negative organisms such as Klebsiella sp, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas sp.
