Kairosafe has chosen the Lumitester Smart
For several years, Kairosafe has distributed the Lumitester Smart bioluminometer, manufactured by the Japanese company Kikkoman. It utilizes unique, innovative technology that delivers reliable, robust results, even in the most sensitive applications.
Operating principle
In general, bioluminometers detect the presence of organic matter by identifying ATP molecules.
What makes the Lumitester unique
The Lumitester Smart stands out from other bioluminometers on the market because it detects not only ATP but also its derivatives, ADP and AMP, ensuring results that are more reliable, stable, repeatable, and precise. The A3 trio of molecules (ATP + ADP + AMP) reacts with the reagent on the sampling swab, triggering a bioluminescence reaction. The intensity of the light signal is directly proportional to the A3 concentration in the sample; the instrument measures this intensity and converts it into a numerical RLU (Relative Light Unit) value, which is displayed on the screen.
Areas of application
The Lumitester Smart can be used to monitor sanitation across a wide range of sectors—including pharmaceuticals, food production, healthcare, HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, and catering), and industry—allowing for a comparison of hygiene levels before and after cleaning procedures. It requires no specialized training and is highly valued by operators for its rapid results (10 seconds).
