The indicator consists of a strip of paper printed with reactive ink which changes color from yellow to dark brown/black giving an indication of exposure to the sterilization process. It must be placed inside the package to be sterilized.
Class 4 indicators demonstrate that the material has been exposed to a steam sterilization process and allow you to distinguish between exposed and non-exposed goods. They reach a final color that indicates exposure to sterilization conditions:
