Incubator for biological indicators T up to 70°C
True Indicating10-well incubator Ø 13 mm for self-contained indicators and glass ampoule indicators.
Incubation of biological indicators with Bacillus atrophaeus and Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores.
The INC-13-E incubator model is designed for incubation of self-contained biological indicators and glass flask indicators.
This model is set to a temperature between 5 and 70°C. There are 10 incubation slots available to place biological indicators.
Self-contained biological indicators consist of a self-contained unit that includes bacterial spores inoculated onto a paper filter holder and a small glass vial containing a culture medium, all enclosed in a plastic vial that serves as a test tube. culture.
After removing the biological indicator from the sterilizer and confirming that the chemical indicator printed on the label has changed, you need to activate the biological indicator using a crusher that breaks the glass flask.
Make sure the growth broth has saturated the carrier inside the tube. The now activated biological indicator must be incubated according to specifications and checked regularly for spore growth.
Spore growth may be noted by a change in color of the medium and/or turbidity in the tube. If the indicator turns yellow, the test is positive indicating inadequate sterilization.
The glass ampoule indicators consist of a glass ampoule of various sizes, containing the spores suspended in a culture broth which changes color in the event of bacterial growth.
