Incubator for biological indicators T 37°C
Etigam15-well incubator for self-contained indicators, with activator.
Incubation at 37 ± 2°C of self-contained biological indicators with Bacillus atrophaeus spores.
The incubator model NINC-E37 is designed for incubating self-contained biological indicators for EO sterilization.
This model is set on a temperature of between 37 ± 2°C. There are 15 incubation slots available to place the self-contained biological indicators. For convenience a crushing well is integrated to enable the user to activate the biological indicators.
The self-contained EO biological indicators consists of a unit that includes bacterial spores inoculated onto a paper filter carrier and a small glass ampoule containing a culture medium all encased in a plastic vial that serves as the culture tube.
After removing the biological indicator from the sterilizer and confirming that the chemical indicator printed on the label of the label has turned orange, the biological indicator needs to be activated using the integrated crushing well on the device or a separate vial crusher.
Assure that the growth medium has saturated the spore carrier inside the tube. The now activated biological indicator needs to be incubated according to the specifications and regularly checked for spore growth.
Spore growth can be noticed by a color change of the medium and/or turbidity in the tube. If the indicator turns yellow, the test is positive indicating inadequate sterilization.
