Pyrogen-free LAL Reagent Water
LRW (LAL Reagent Water) is defined as the water suitable for the LAL test, both for reconstituting and preparing reagents and for diluting the product under analysis:
- LAL water is supplied in glass bottles of various volumes
- It is certified with an endotoxin content of < 0.001 EU/ml
- Being the foundation of the entire test, it must be apyrogenic, non-interfering, and freshly opened
Water for injectable preparation (WFI, Water for Injection), on the other hand, has an endotoxin limit of 0.25 EU/ml and cannot be used for reagent reconstitution or product preparation.
Use of LRW
Since it forms the basis of the entire test, LAL water must be freshly opened and handled carefully to avoid contamination during sampling.
Application of LRW
LAL water is used for the reconstitution of reagents (lysate and endotoxin), for the preparation of serial dilutions and positive controls, and for sample preparation.
