Sponges Polywipe 5x10 cm

Sponges and wipes are used to collect samples from surfaces, which are then analyzed microbiologically to detect pathogens.

They come with bags that act as sterile gloves, helping the operator perform sampling while avoiding cross-contamination.
For sanitized surfaces, sponges and wipes should be paired with solutions containing neutralizing agents.

 

Sterile sponges

Sterile sponges measuring 5 × 10 cm are pre-moistened with BPW, MRD, or neutralizing solutions.
 

Sponges for sampling disinfected surfaces contain the ISO 18593 – 6887 neutralizing solution, formulated with components that neutralize various disinfectants.

Sponges for sampling carcasses and non-disinfected surfaces use general diluents such as BPW and MRD (ISO 17604 – 6887).
