Kit for microbiological sampling

HY CON CHECK – sponges, cloths, swabs, templates and shoe covers

To guarantee the necessary safety conditions, it is essential to carry out systematic checks on the surfaces of risky environments, developing an environmental microbiological monitoring protocol.

The Hy Con Check line includes a range of environmental sampling kits including sponges, cloths, swabs and overshoes. They are ready-to-use kits, designed to sample work areas, equipment, animal carcasses and any other surfaces in order to perform detection tests for Listeria, Salmonella, E. coli and other foodborne pathogens in an industrial setting and environmental.

These kits are widely used for:

• Sampling of surfaces in production plants

• Evaluation of hygiene and sanitization processes of equipment in production areas

• Sampling of carcasses in slaughterhouses according to ISO 17604:2015

• Sampling in poultry farms

• Sampling of hands and gowns, to evaluate correct personal hygiene.

The various types of devices can be dry or pre-humidified with specific buffers.

The choice of the optimal Buffer

Buffered Peptone Water (BPW)

Specific for the sampling of carcasses in slaughterhouses (according to ISO 17604: 2015) and in non-disinfected production areas, for the detection of specific germs, such as Salmonella spp. and Listeria spp.

Neutralizing Peptone Buffer (NPB)

Widely used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries. Specific for sampling disinfected areas, as it neutralizes the bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects of disinfectant agents.

Maximum Recovery Diluent (MRD)

It is a protective and isotonic medium used for the maximum recovery of microorganisms from environmental and food samples. It is also recommended for carcass sampling in slaughterhouses.
